Russian charter plane prepares for emergency landing in China
Moscow, 23 January (Hibya) – According to RIA Novosti, an aircraft belonging to the Russian charter airline Azur Air sent a distress signal over China and is preparing for an emergency landing.
An Azur Air representative said that a Boeing 757 sent a distress signal over China and is preparing for an unscheduled landing.
There are 238 passengers on board; the aircraft was flying from Phuket to the city of Barnaul in Russia’s Altai Region.
The airline stated that the aircraft is in a holding area and that the crew has full control of the flight parameters.
