In a statement, the ministry said that during New Year celebrations the Kiev administration carried out another “terrorist act” targeting civilians in various regions of Russia.

The statement noted that the New Year turned into a “tragedy” for more than 70 local residents. “Neo-Nazi elements carried out a drone attack on a café and a hotel where civilians were present in the Kherson region of the Russian Federation,” it said.

As a result of the attack, 24 people were killed and more than 50 were injured and taken to hospitals.

“Among the wounded are six children aged between 6 and 17, and one child has died. The fact that the drones were directed at a location where civilians were celebrating the New Year clearly indicates that the attack was premeditated. The first images of this grave war crime have been released by the media from the scene,” the statement added.
