Qatari and Japanese prime ministers meet in Tokyo
Tokyo, October 2 (Hibya) - Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi discussed bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues.
Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Al Thani met with Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi in Tokyo.
According to a statement from the Qatari Foreign Ministry, the meeting held on October 2 addressed strengthening relations between Qatar and Japan and developing cooperation in various fields, particularly economic cooperation, energy security, technology and innovation, trade, investment and advanced industries.
The two sides expressed their commitment to expanding cooperation across different fields and welcomed the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting also reviewed the ongoing success of the 2026 Asian Games being held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The leaders also discussed further opportunities for cooperation in view of Qatar hosting the next Asian Games.
