Qatar condemns military escalation in Ethiopia

Doha, September 27 (Hibya) - Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the military escalation against Ethiopian federal forces poses a serious threat to the country’s unity and sovereignty, as well as to security and stability in the Horn of Africa.

In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the military escalation in Ethiopia. The statement said the clashes should end immediately, civilians should be protected, and the Pretoria Peace Agreement should be respected.

Qatar said it supports all efforts aimed at reducing tensions in Ethiopia and resolving disputes through dialogue and peaceful means.
