Putin lays a wreath in Red Square on National Unity Day
Moscow, November 4 (Hibya) – Russian President Vladimir Putin laid flowers at the monument to Minin and Pozharsky in Red Square, Moscow, to mark National Unity Day.
As part of the National Unity Day celebrations, President Putin laid flowers at the monument to Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky located in Moscow’s Red Square.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of religious communities as well as members of civil society organizations and youth movements.
National Unity Day, celebrated annually on November 4 in Russia, commemorates the liberation of Moscow from foreign invaders in 1612 by a people’s militia led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky.
