Macron: Two French citizens detained in Iran have been released
Paris, November 4 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris, who had been detained in Iran for three years, have been released.
President Macron stated that Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris have left Evin Prison and are on their way to the French Embassy in Tehran.
He described their release as an important first step and added, “Our dialogue continues so that they can return to France as soon as possible.”
Macron also expressed his gratitude to the French Embassy in Tehran and state institutions for their efforts.
