Putin: If necessary, objectives will be achieved by the use of force
Moscow, December 29 (Hibya) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said that if the Ukrainian authorities refuse to end the conflict through peaceful means, Russia will achieve all of its objectives by using military force.
According to CCTV, Russian President Vladimir Putin made the remarks on Saturday during a meeting held at one of the command centers of the military operation.
Claiming that the Ukrainian side is not rushing to resolve the conflict peacefully, Putin said that some circles in the West are calling on Kyiv to accept appropriate conditions to end the fighting.
Putin met with Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov and commanders of combat units, and listened to reports on the situation on the ground.
In his report, Chief of the General Staff Gerasimov stated that Russian armed forces had taken control of the settlements of Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region and Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region.
