Portugal and Greece sign memorandum on political consultations
Athens, July 22 (Hibya) - Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel and his Greek counterpart signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing regular political consultations between the two countries.
Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel met with his Greek counterpart in Athens.
During the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding providing for the establishment of a regular political consultation mechanism between Portugal and Greece. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the prime ministers of both countries.
The meeting was held as part of the Portuguese Prime Minister's official visit to Athens.
It was stated that the visit strengthened bilateral relations between the two countries within the framework of European Union integration, NATO membership, and their rotating responsibilities at the United Nations Security Council.
