Pezeshkian: Iran and Pakistan share deep common grounds
Tehran, June 24 (Hibya) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian praised Pakistan's efforts for peace and mediation in the region, stating that the two countries share many common values and aspirations.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made remarks on his official visit to Pakistan and on relations between the two countries.
Highlighting Pakistan's regional role and cultural foundations, Pezeshkian said, "Iran and Pakistan share deep common grounds in terms of aspirations and hopes. Pakistan's unwavering efforts to promote peace in the region are rooted in its rich culture."
Referring to his high-level meetings with Pakistan's leadership, Pezeshkian concluded: "During my visit to Pakistan to appreciate its mediation efforts, I discussed expanding cooperation with my brothers Asif Zardari, Shehbaz Sharif, and Asim Munir."
