Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

In his address to parliament, President Petr Pavel emphasized that for the healthy functioning of democratic processes and the country’s long-term stability, it is necessary to act with common sense under the roof of parliament.

Pavel stressed that diverse opinions are a richness, but they should not turn into polarization.

Addressing members of the Chamber of Deputies, Pavel said: “Differences of opinion are the essence of democracy. However, democracy must not lose its willingness to listen. Therefore, I called for an open debate in the Chamber of Deputies, without locking ourselves into ‘opinion bubbles,’ and for seeking compromise on key issues such as security, healthcare, education and energy. These are the areas where long-term stability is essential.”

Stating that he is ready to take responsibility for the country’s future, Pavel added: “I am ready to support any solution that will strengthen the security, prosperity and unity of the Czech Republic.”
