Palestinian and Singaporean foreign ministers discuss Gaza reconstruction
Ramallah, November 4 (Hibya) – Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Farsin Aghabekian Shaheen met with Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, and his accompanying delegation.
Minister Shaheen thanked the government of Singapore for its support of the Palestinian people, emphasizing the importance of expanding this support to include the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
He called on Singapore to continue its active role in humanitarian efforts and to pressure Israel to open all crossings and completely withdraw from the region. Shaheen also urged Singapore to officially recognize the State of Palestine.
During the meeting, Shaheen also addressed the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, noting that despite the ceasefire, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues and aid access remains obstructed.
