Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to the SAARC process
Islamabad, July 14 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, received South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Secretary-General Md. Golam Sarwar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Dar praised Secretary-General Sarwar's efforts to promote regional cooperation and once again reaffirmed Pakistan's strong commitment to the SAARC process.
Dar stated that a revitalized, criteria-based SAARC is of great importance for strengthening regional connectivity, promoting sustainable development, and enhancing the shared prosperity of the peoples of South Asia.
He also highlighted the region's vast demographic and economic potential.
SAARC Secretary-General Md. Golam Sarwar expressed his appreciation for Pakistan's continued support for the organization and its affiliated institutions, thanking Foreign Minister Dar for Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional and global peace.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dar conveyed his best wishes to Secretary-General Sarwar on the completion of his term and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.
