Pakistan Foreign Minister Dar meets UN General Assembly President Rahman
New York, September 25 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Dr. Khalilur Rahman, President of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, in New York.
According to a statement by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar met with Rahman on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Dar congratulated Rahman on assuming office and said Pakistan would continue its support and constructive engagement. During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to multilateralism and the central role of the United Nations.
The two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, while Dar expressed confidence in Rahman's leadership in advancing the work of the General Assembly presidency.
