The STOXX 600 index remained flat at 656.41 points, the DAX index at 26,338.61 points and the CAC 40 index at 8,579.60 points.
The FTSE 100 index fell 0.28 percent to 10,720.30 points, while the FTSE MIB index rose 0.01 percent to 53,586.98 points.
