Mixed performance in Middle Eastern stock markets
Istanbul, October 2 (Hibya) – Major stock indices traded across the Middle East showed a mixed performance.
Losses were prominent across Gulf and regional markets. Kuwait's Premier Market PR index fell 0.59 percent to 9,113.60 points, while Qatar's QE General index declined 0.57 percent to 9,192.24 points. The DFM General index on the Dubai Financial Market dropped 0.51 percent to 5,930.40 points, while Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All Share index lost 0.46 percent to 10,392.97 points. In Oman, the MSM 30 index fell 0.40 percent to 4,393.15 points, while Bahrain's Bahrain All Share index declined 0.31 percent to 1,951.36 points.
By contrast, Egypt's EGX 30 index posted a strong gain of 2.24 percent, rising to 53,055.03 points. Jordan's Amman SE General index increased 0.38 percent to 4,206.57 points, Israel's TA 35 index gained 0.34 percent to 4,218.25 points, and Palestine's Al-Quds index rose 0.11 percent to 705.93 points.
