During intraday trading in U.S. stock markets, indices showed a mixed performance.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) declined by 0.15% to 48,463.72 points, while the S&P 500 index rose by 0.18% to 7,022.95 points.

The technology-heavy Nasdaq index gained 1.59% to reach 24,016.02 points, while the small-cap Russell 2000 index increased by 0.30% to 2,713.66 points.

Meanwhile, the VIX index, which measures market volatility, fell by 1.03% to 18.17.

The data indicate that the upward trend in U.S. markets, led by technology stocks, continues, although the overall outlook remains cautious.
