Lahbib: Mozambique is not facing this crisis alone
Brussels, February 2 (Hibya) – European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib announced that an additional 2 million euros have been allocated to support humanitarian operations following the floods in Mozambique.
European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib made a statement regarding the assistance provided to Mozambique.
Drawing attention to the humanitarian crisis caused by the floods, Lahbib said, “The devastating floods currently affecting Mozambique have led to a humanitarian emergency. In addition to the aid already delivered, the European Union is allocating a further 2 million euros to support humanitarian operations on the ground.”
Emphasizing the EU’s solidarity with the people of Mozambique, Lahbib concluded, “Mozambique is not facing this crisis alone, the European Union is by your side.”
