Jetten meets Albanian counterpart Rama
Amsterdam, April 23 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten stated during his meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama that Albania is a strategic partner in the Western Balkans for both the Netherlands and the European Union.
Dutch Prime Minister Jetten held a phone call with Albanian Prime Minister Rama. Commenting on the meeting, Jetten said that Albania is an important strategic partner in the Western Balkans for both the Netherlands and the European Union.
Jetten noted that economic relations between the two countries and cooperation in the field of security are strong. He added that opportunities to further develop cooperation in areas such as infrastructure and tourism were discussed during the meeting.
Jetten also stated that Albania’s European Union accession process was discussed, emphasizing that the country has taken significant steps to meet membership criteria.
Jetten said he looks forward to meeting Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama again at the European Union–Western Balkans Summit to be held in June.
