Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar made statements regarding the European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.

Sa’ar claimed that Kallas’s statements towards Israel are "unjust and obsessive" and considered the recent comparisons of Israel to the apartheid regime in South Africa unacceptable.

He noted that some European politicians reacted to these statements, yet no step back or correction came from Kallas.

Sa’ar said: "Therefore, as the Foreign Minister of the State of Israel, I have no choice but to cut all communication with Ms. Kallas until she retracts her slander against the world’s only Jewish state and the only democracy in the Middle East. And I am doing it now."
