Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar congratulated Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, who took office as Morocco’s first female prime minister.

Sa'ar said in a social media post that he had congratulated El Mansouri on her “historic” role.

Stating that Israel and Morocco have “deep historical ties and important shared interests,” Sa'ar wished El Mansouri success in her new role.

Sa'ar said efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries and expand cooperation would continue, adding: “I look forward to continuing to strengthen our bilateral relations and expand cooperation between our countries.”
