New York, September 23 (Hibya) - Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis said they had assessed developments and the humanitarian situation in Yemen, calling for de-escalation and the protection of civilians.
Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis made statements regarding the situation in Yemen. Cassis said he had discussed the latest developments and the humanitarian situation in Yemen with Afrah Alzouba.
Cassis said he had emphasized the importance of de-escalation during the meeting, stating, “It is important to protect civilians and work toward a political solution.”
Cassis said Switzerland was ready to provide support through its good offices initiatives in order to facilitate dialogue, adding that his country would continue to contribute in this regard.
