IDF: We eliminated two group members in Gaza
Tel Aviv, July 18 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a sniper affiliated with Palestinian Islamic Jihad and a person serving at a Hamas operations center were killed in airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that two members of armed groups were killed in airstrikes carried out in the central and northern Gaza Strip.
According to the IDF statement, Humus Humis Akasha Abu Rish, who was said to have operated as a sniper within Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), was killed in a strike in central Gaza. The statement alleged that he had recently carried out sniper attacks against Israeli forces.
In another strike in northern Gaza, Mohammed Taysir Ahmed Abid, who was said to have served as a department head at a Hamas operations center, was killed.
The IDF claimed that both individuals posed an "imminent threat" to Israeli soldiers operating in the area and said Southern Command forces were continuing their activities in the region.
