In a statement following the meeting, Herzog said he once again congratulated the American people on the 250th anniversary of the United States' Independence Day.
Herzog said the strategic relationship between the United States and Israel was discussed during the meeting, adding: "I emphasized the importance of maintaining bipartisan support for the U.S.-Israel partnership. This partnership brings significant benefits to both of our nations."
