Guterres: A permanent and sustainable ceasefire is needed
New York, December 19 (Hibya) – United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said there is a need for a genuinely permanent and sustainable ceasefire in Gaza.
UN Secretary-General Guterres stated that the crisis in Gaza is the result of decisions made by human beings.
He noted that if the necessary political will is demonstrated, this crisis can also be resolved through human choices, adding: “This distorted and long-standing suffering must now come to an end.”
Guterres stressed the need for a truly permanent and sustainable ceasefire.
