Ottawa, February 10 (Hibya) - Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Luxembourg Prime Minister Frieden met with his Canadian counterpart Mark Carney in Ottawa. The discussions covered important international issues as well as the possibilities of deepening bilateral cooperation.
The two leaders emphasized their mutual desire to further strengthen economic ties between the two countries, particularly in the finance and satellite sectors, during their bilateral talks.
Additionally, to address security challenges, the two leaders agreed on the need for swift and coordinated progress in strengthening multilateral funding capacity for defense efforts, including the Defense, Security, and Resilience Bank, which could help mobilize additional capital.
Prime Minister Luc Frieden stated that Luxembourg and Canada have a strong partnership based on long-standing friendship and a shared history. "We share a common commitment to democracy, the rule of law, and multilateralism. Luxembourg and Canada have a strong desire to deepen transatlantic cooperation in areas such as security, defense, finance, space, and innovation. Our goal is clear: to build a stronger and forward-looking relationship with Canada," he said.
