Floods in Gaza camps further worsen the humanitarian crisis
Stockholm, 26 November (Hibya) – Gaza is facing heavy rainfall that has flooded temporary camps.
Thousands of tents have been damaged, worsening the already dire conditions of displaced families in need of aid.
Gaza is experiencing severe winter rains that have flooded temporary camps, forcing displaced families to rescue what little they have left.
In Deir al-Balah, residents spent Tuesday morning clearing muddy water from tents after a night of heavy downpours.

Some shelters made of wood and metal collapsed under the weight of the rain. Roads around the camps turned into streams, and parents carried their children through the water to safer areas.
Relief organizations say weather conditions have worsened the already fragile situation, as many residents rely on sewage pits that overflow during storms.
The UN reported that thousands of tents had been damaged and warned that the amount of humanitarian aid reaching Gaza remains far below what is needed.
