Dar: We are accelerating preparations for the 2027 SCO Summit
Islamabad, August 19 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar reviewed preparations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, which Pakistan will host in 2027. Dar instructed all institutions to complete the arrangements on time and to high standards.
A preparatory meeting for the SCO Summit, which Pakistan will host in 2027, was held under the chairmanship of Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) provided an update on progress in various development and infrastructure projects currently under way.
Expressing satisfaction with the preparations, Dar instructed all relevant stakeholders to ensure that arrangements for the event are completed on time.
Emphasizing Pakistan's full commitment to successfully hosting SCO meetings, Dar highlighted the importance of making preparations to the highest standards.
Dar also said close coordination should be ensured among all relevant institutions so that the SCO meetings can be held smoothly, orderly and successfully.
The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Minister Amna Baloch, Interior Minister Ahmad Raza Sarwar, the CDA Chairman, the SCO National Coordinator and senior officials from the relevant ministries.
