According to a statement by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a discussion this evening with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis.

During the conversation, the two leaders welcomed the encouraging progress made toward reaching an understanding between the United States of America (USA) and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Swiss Foreign Minister Cassis expressed appreciation for Pakistan's leading mediation role in supporting diplomatic relations and its constructive efforts to promote peace and stability in the region and internationally.
