Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, attended the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem in Amman, Jordan, where he presented Pakistan's position on developments in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

According to Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar expressed deep concern over the deteriorating humanitarian and security situation, particularly in Occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Dar condemned the violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, the expansion of illegal settlements, settler violence, and Israel's attempts to alter the historical and legal status of the holy sites. He also reaffirmed Pakistan's support for the Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, stressing that Israel has no sovereignty over Occupied East Jerusalem.

Highlighting the importance of adherence to international law, Dar stated: "Respect for international law, relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, the preservation of the ceasefire in Gaza, the full implementation of the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance are of utmost importance."

Dar also called for stronger diplomatic coordination among Arab and Islamic countries to protect the Palestinian people.

Reaffirming Pakistan's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, Dar said: "A just, comprehensive, and lasting peace can only be achieved through the establishment of an independent, sovereign, viable, and territorially contiguous Palestinian State based on the pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital."
