Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Over the past few weeks, tensions had risen dangerously until a surprising turn on Wednesday, when Trump suddenly rejected military intervention and dropped threats to impose tariffs on several European allies.

Following his meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trump announced on social media that a “framework for a future agreement on Greenland” had been reached.

The Danish prime minister arrived in Nuuk directly from Brussels, where she met Rutte face to face early Friday morning. According to Rutte’s post on X, they agreed on “strengthening deterrence and defense in the Arctic.”

After being welcomed on the runway by Greenland Prime Minister Nielsen, Mette Frederiksen said: “Today I am in Greenland first and foremost to show Denmark’s strong support for the people of Greenland. We are going through a very difficult period, and everyone can see that.

We are in a serious situation. Everyone can see it. There is now a diplomatic and political path that we will follow.” She added that her trip was a “working” visit to prepare the “next steps.”
