Radman stated that following the tragic events in Crans-Montana, he spoke with his Swiss counterpart Cassis, conveying Croatia’s sincere condolences and solidarity, and stressing that Croatia is ready to provide all necessary support.

He noted that the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Croatian diplomatic missions in Switzerland are in close contact with Swiss authorities to determine whether any Croatian citizens are among those affected. “Once verified information is obtained, the public will be informed immediately,” Radman said.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha also expressed solidarity with Switzerland after reports of the tragic incident in Crans-Montana during New Year celebrations, in which dozens of people lost their lives.

“We extend our wishes for recovery to those affected and wish the injured a swift recovery. Stay strong, dear Swiss friends,” he said.

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that the Italian government is following the situation in Crans-Montana minute by minute.

Tajani added: “I informed Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni early this morning and remain in constant contact with her. The Lombardy Region has also taken action, activating the Aosta Valley Civil Protection and the Niguarda burn center.”
