Costa: The EU is determined to strengthen its ties with Vietnam
Hanoi, January 29 (Hibya) – European Union (EU) Council President Antonio Costa emphasized the EU’s determination to strengthen its strategic ties with Vietnam following high-level meetings held during his visit to the country.
European Union (EU) Council President Antonio Costa made a statement regarding his official visit to Vietnam.
Providing information on his engagements during the visit, Costa said: “During my visit to Vietnam, I had the opportunity to meet with Communist Party General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to discuss various aspects of EU–Vietnam cooperation.”
Highlighting that the partnership between the two sides will deepen, Costa concluded his statement by saying: “The EU is determined to strengthen its ties with Vietnam. Our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership provides us with a framework to do so.”
