Costa said, "I was deeply saddened to learn of the armed attack in Krakow's Main Square. My thoughts are with the loved ones and families of those who lost their lives, as well as those who were injured."
Expressing solidarity with the Polish people and the emergency response teams that intervened following the incident, Costa said, "The EU stands with Poland during this difficult time."
