European Council President Antonio Costa issued a message on growing polarization and the loss of trust.

Costa said that in an interconnected world, strength comes from connections, noting that growing polarization leads to an erosion of trust.

Costa said a world in which people are forced to choose sides against one another should not be accepted, emphasizing that a different path is possible.

Under the “Partners for Multilateralism” initiative, Costa called for cooperation to defend shared principles, develop practical solutions, and work for peace and prosperity.

Costa also called for participation in the P4M Summit, which will be held on Monday, September 21, as part of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
