According to CCTV, Chile and Argentina are facing intense heatwaves, with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees.

On Wednesday, in the center of Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires, temperatures exceeded 42 degrees in the sun, while reaching around 39 degrees in the shade.

According to meteorological forecasts, the current heatwave in Argentina is expected to continue until early January 2026. Argentina’s National Meteorological Service issued a warning due to high temperatures, advising citizens to avoid going outside at noon and in the afternoon, drink plenty of fluids, and take precautions against heatstroke.
