CENTCOM: 110 commercial vessels redirected
Washington, September 21 (Hibya) – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said the destroyer USS Rafael Peralta was operating in regional waters to enforce the U.S. blockade on Iran and that 110 commercial vessels had been redirected as of September 21.
In a statement, CENTCOM said the guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) was operating in regional waters.
The statement said the vessel continued to enforce the U.S. blockade on Iran and was preventing commercial vessels from entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas.
U.S. Central Command said that as of September 21, U.S. forces had redirected 110 commercial vessels to ensure compliance with the blockade rules.
