Carney: Canada’s automotive sector is under immense pressure
Ottawa, February 5 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that they have launched a new strategy to end uncertainty in the automotive sector.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney shared the government’s new roadmap in response to the challenges facing the automotive industry.
Pledging to protect workers and local businesses, Carney stated that artificial intelligence will play a critical role in the sector’s transformation process.
Drawing attention to the current situation in the automotive sector, Carney said: “Canada’s automotive sector is under immense pressure, creating uncertainty for workers and businesses. That’s why we are taking control and launching a new strategy that will transform the sector and make Canada a global leader in electric vehicles.”
Emphasizing that domestic production will be encouraged, Prime Minister Carney added: “We will reward vehicle production in Canada and, by using our world-class artificial intelligence capabilities, ensure that Canadian auto workers build the vehicles of the future.”
