Carney said he met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.
Describing Canada and the EU as natural partners with shared values, Carney said the talks focused on working toward a closer partnership.
Carney said they aim for the partnership to strengthen mutual sovereignty and create greater opportunities and prosperity for the people of Canada and Europe.
