Brekelmans: We are defending NATO’s eastern flank together
Amsterdam, February 12 (Hibya) - Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced that within the framework of NATO, support for Ukraine as well as strengthening defense and deterrence against Russia were discussed.
Brekelmans stated that together with allies, they are defending NATO’s eastern flank and the High North region.
He noted that the Netherlands has committed to investing 3.5 percent of its Gross Domestic Product in core defense spending, adding that this target will be gradually implemented in the coming years.
