Brekelmans said: “While attention is being diverted, Putin continues his terror in Ukraine.”

Stating that Russia is systematically disabling electricity, water and heating infrastructure in Ukraine, Brekelmans drew attention to the fact that this is being carried out under freezing winter conditions, with temperatures reaching minus 10 degrees.

Emphasizing that the Ukrainian people must be supported in order to get through the winter, Brekelmans said: “We must keep Ukrainians standing throughout the winter and support them both in the fight on the ground and in negotiations.”
