Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Bayramov made assessments on Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations at a joint press conference held in Baku with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

Bayramov said relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan had been elevated to the level of an alliance with the Shusha Declaration, adding that cooperation between the two countries had developed in the political, economic, energy and transportation fields.

Bayramov said Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations have a character unmatched globally and drew attention to trade data for 2025 and the first eight months of 2026.

Bayramov referred to the trade volume between the two countries, Türkiye's investments in Azerbaijan and Turkish companies operating in Azerbaijan, noting that the economic dimension of the relationship was also strengthening.

Highlighting cooperation in the energy sector, Bayramov said the two countries are carrying out important joint projects on energy security. He noted the importance of transporting Azerbaijani gas to Europe via Türkiye, developing new energy connections and strengthening links between Nakhchivan and Türkiye.

In the field of transportation, Bayramov pointed to the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, ports and work carried out within the framework of the Middle Corridor, saying these projects are important not only for strengthening connectivity between Türkiye and Azerbaijan but also between Europe and Asia.

Bayramov said cooperation between the two countries continues not only in the political and economic fields but also within the Organization of Turkic States and other multilateral platforms.

Bayramov said preparations for the Organization of Turkic States Summit to be hosted by Türkiye were also discussed and highlighted the importance of Türkiye hosting the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31).

Concluding his remarks, Bayramov expressed his satisfaction with Hakan Fidan's visit to Azerbaijan and said the talks would contribute to the further development of Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations.
