Highlighting the nature of the attack, Baqaei said: “A heartbreaking, cruel, vile and utterly disgraceful incident: US-Israeli attackers targeted Iran’s Pasteur Institute, one of the oldest and most prestigious research and public health centers in Iran and across the Middle East, established in 1920 through an agreement between the Pasteur Institute in Paris and the Iranian government.”
Referring to the incident in terms of international law and humanitarian values, Baqaei added: “This is not an ordinary war crime committed as part of an illegal war; it is a barbaric attack on fundamental human values.”
