Arbaeen message from Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baqaei
Tehran, August 4 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei issued a message marking Arbaeen, which commemorates the death of Imam Hussein and the events of Karbala, referring to a sermon delivered by Zaynab in the palace of Yazid ibn Muawiya.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei shared a message on his social media account to mark Arbaeen of Imam Hussein.
In his post, Baqaei included excerpts from the sermon that Zaynab is believed to have delivered before Yazid ibn Muawiya in Damascus following the events of Karbala.
The message emphasized resistance against oppression and preserving the memory of those who lost their lives in Karbala, stating: “You will not be able to erase our name and memory, nor will you be able to extinguish our revelation.”
At the end of his post, Baqaei offered condolences on the occasion of Arbaeen of Imam Hussein and commemorated Imam Hussein and the martyrs of Karbala.
