Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced more than 15 million Canadian dollars in support during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM). Anand stated that the funding would be directed toward various initiatives across the Commonwealth, including strengthening climate resilience, supporting recovery efforts following natural disasters, promoting women's economic empowerment, improving good governance and increasing accountability.

Anand noted that they had several productive days at the meeting. She emphasized that, in addition to concrete commitments, important discussions had taken place and that these engagements would continue.
