Anand: Canada and Czechia are strengthening cooperation in defence
Ottawa, 16 June (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand said that trade, investment, artificial intelligence and defence production cooperation were discussed during her meeting with Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka.

In her statement, Anand said that issues regarding the development of economic and strategic relations between Canada and Czechia were evaluated during the meeting. “We discussed strengthening cooperation between Canada and Czechia in trade, investment, artificial intelligence and defence production,” she said.
Highlighting the importance of increasing joint capacity in the defence industry, Anand said: “Canada and Czechia are strengthening cooperation to enhance defence capabilities and support our shared security in an increasingly uncertain global environment.”
She also noted that the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank to be hosted by Canada could support these opportunities and added that contacts between the two countries will continue.
