Aliyev holds phone call with Iranian President Pezeshkian
Baku, March 8 (Hibya) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed the air bombardment incident in Nakhchivan and the casualties in Iran during a phone call.
According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a phone conversation took place between the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
President Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude to Aliyev for his visit of condolences following the deaths of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and many civilians.
Aliyev, for his part, reiterated his condolences over the civilian deaths in Iran and stressed the importance of clarifying and investigating the incident in Nakhchivan for regional security.
