According to a statement by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister’s Advisor and official spokesperson Dr. Majid bin Mohammed Al Ansari held a meeting with EU Special Representative for the Gulf region Luigi Di Maio, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, the impact of escalating military tensions in the region on international security and stability was discussed.

The parties agreed on resolving disputes through peaceful means and enhancing joint cooperation. Al Ansari expressed the State of Qatar’s appreciation for its partnership with the EU, particularly in the fields of defense and security under the current circumstances.

At the meeting, EU Representative Di Maio expressed solidarity with the State of Qatar in the face of repeated attacks on its sovereignty.
