Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the outcomes of diplomatic and military negotiations in the Middle East and the Gulf region.

Following talks conducted by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, it was stated that Ukraine has shared its expertise in UAV defense with its allies.

Emphasizing Ukraine’s active role in countering "Shahed" drones, Zelensky said: “Our teams are currently working with five countries to counter these unmanned aerial vehicles; we have provided expert assessments and are helping to establish a defense system. We have also received additional requests from other states.”

Zelensky also noted that the United States requested expert support for its military personnel in the region and that requests from European partners are also being reviewed.

Recalling that stability around Iran is critical for global energy markets, Zelensky stated: “Ukraine depends on rapid and reliable stability around Iran; this has global importance in terms of oil and natural gas pricing.”

Zelensky also highlighted military cooperation between Russia and Iran, stating: “Any success of the terrorist campaign of the Iranian regime, a long-time accomplice of Russia, is unacceptable. Terrorists must not be allowed to determine the fate of people and countries anywhere in the world.”
