Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Germany, during his meeting with Federal President Steinmeier, for its support for the Ukrainian people and its leadership on this issue.

Zelensky stated that he provided information on the work being carried out jointly with the United States, which includes the goals of “achieving a dignified peace, reliable security guarantees, and economic recovery.”

Emphasizing the importance of the meeting, Zelensky stressed that safeguarding Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests is of key importance, and said he appreciates Germany’s principled support for this position.
