Three people arrested over deadly fire in Hong Kong
Stockholm, November 27 (Hibya) – Three people have been arrested in Hong Kong on suspicion of murder following a fire in a residential building.
It is reported that at least 44 people have died in the fire, dozens are in critical condition, and around 280 people are still missing.
Approximately 280 people remain missing, and more than 900 have been placed in emergency shelters. Around 4,600 people live in eight buildings, which contain about 2,000 apartments, many of them occupied by elderly residents.
Firefighters have managed to contain the spread of the fire, but extinguishing efforts are ongoing.
The arrested men are aged between 52 and 68. Police have not disclosed how they may be connected to the fire.
